It is no longer news that one of Nigerian's telecoms company Etisalat has rebranded to 9Mobile as a result of the mother company Etisalat Abu-Dhabi pulling out their shares completely from the Nigerian telecoms company.
The new name and brand "9Mobile" did not come as a surprise to many brand experts, as it is easy to decipher that the new name suits the Telco perfectly, being that their mobile number is 0809, they have been in Nigeria for 9 years, and they are 9jacentric.We can say that the number 9 must be their lucky charm.
Recently, at their unveiling ceremony, 9Mobile promised to maintain its innovative and value- adding proposition which it has delivered since inception 9 years ago.
The Telco company emphasizes that the new name and brand is a deliberate representation and confirmation of its Nigerian heritage and 9ja-centricity. Although the name and brand changes, 9Mobile assures its users that its operation will remain the same.
The rebranding exercise has commenced at all 9Mobile offices nationwide.
