Nigerian Uber drivers can be hell!

I know I wrote a review last year about my first Uber experience in Lagos and it was all so beautiful, You can find it Here if you missed that post. At that time, I thought Uber was the most ingenious thing to have been exported to Nigeria, I mean who wouldn't love to be driven for less on Naija bad roads in a comfortable air-conditioned car.Fast forward to eight solid months later, my story has completely changed.
I know Instagram has gone agog with different tales of Uber drivers lately, but trust me, we all move on after reading those post without considering the dangers and messages those post are passing across to us . I know I have read about an Uber driver running away with the owner's car, I have read about Uber driver been killed only for the passengers to sell the car to someone out of town. But nope my story is not that horrifying but it is equally pathetic.

APAPA TRAFFIC-The silent killer no one is talking about

How hectic can commuting to work get? Over time, I have heard varying degrees of complaints from people I know and some that I don't even know about their job. The most I have heard is people complaining about how they are paid less than they should earn, for all the hard work they put into their job and the time dedicated to doing their jobs. For others, its the work environment, and for some its the lack of sleep and having to work  round the clock. People complain about different things that make them sick about their jobs.

Review of Turkish Airlines -the airline isn't bad you know..

I never thought a day would come that I will fly with Turkish Airlines, don't get me wrong, reasons being that I just thought the journey on Turkish Airlines was unnecessarily too long, so why should anyone fly with them from Nigeria to connect to other parts of the world.

Standing Ovation for Gov Akinwunmi Ambode as he bans VIO permanently in Lagos State

The popular APC slogan in Lagos "Itesiwaju eko'' meaning the progress of Lagos or in  literary terms "the moving forward of Lagos" has just be demonstrated by the eminent Governor of Lagos State -Akinwunmi Ambode ,one more time.
This morning, Lagosians woke up to the news that VIO (Vehicle Inspection Officer) has finally been banned by the Governor. To a lot of motorist, this was a very pleasing news and the best thing to get their day started, including me.
If you never had an encounter with VIO while they were in active service in lagos State, I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart, for those of us who did have an encounter, I bet we all have the same horrible story to tell.

You must have gone through this tupsy turvy emotional curve in your career at some point , even Entrepreneurs have had their moment of adrenaline rush on a business decision that looked so good on paper but ended up being a fantastic money and time wasting  journey, they should never have taken a risk on.

We all love to work in places where their vision aligns with ours, and unfortunately for a lot of job seekers or career people, what some of these companies project to the world is completely different from their internal structure that people rarely see from the outside.

Brand Rules

Whether its Personal branding or Corporate branding, there are rules in the brand world. The Brand Room is going to be sharing some of this rules with you, i hope you can learn a thing or two from this.

A. Consistency is key in branding, what ever you want your brand to be identified as,you need to be consistent at it, this applies to Entrepreneurs who have great ideas and create a business from their ideas, its important that you are able to sell this business to a client over and over again. Being consistent at what you do,sets you apart from others. In the Corporate world, Coca-cola has been consistent with their brand, which makes other Cola drinks all over the world want to compete with them.

B. Be Original- In the brand world, there is no room for duplicates, you have to be original, and originality comes from within. Clients/ Consumers want the best of what you have to offer, they want a product/brand that can be…
