There are different manufacturers of washing machines, and you must have had one or two experiences using your washing machine.
Do you need a washing machine? Oh yes you do, the guy that created the first washing machine did a great job by putting a lot of thought into relieving people of additional house chores, particularly mothers. Doing manual laundry is not an easy task, ask local washer-men and they will tell you.
In today's review, we are going to be talking about the LG 5kg Inverter Direct Drive Washing Machine. There are different types of LG washing machines, but I decided to review this particular one based on personal use, in order to give my readers exclusive information based on my experience.
With all sincerity, this is my second washing machine in 3 years, the first one which I wouldn't like to mention packed up after 9 months, then I switched to the LG 5kg, although it has never packed up for a single day, but trust me it has its own kind of issues, which I will be telling you about.
The LG 5Kg Washing Machine , is a front loader washer, it functions only as a washing machine, no dryer included.It has child lock protection,temperature ,spin, pre-wash and medic rinse buttons.
It also has 9 distinct controls which are Cotton,Cotton Quick.Synthetic, Delicate, Baby Care, Hand Wash/Wool, Blanket, Quick 30 and Rinse + Spin.
Pros:
For me I will recommend only 3 of all the 9 Controls for what ever fabric you intend to load inside, and these are Cotton Quick which I use for heavy load or very dirty fabrics, Quick 30 which I use for delicate fabrics, baby clothes and average load of 2-3kg and the Rinse + Spin Controls only.
In my opinion, these are the only controls that should have come with the LG 5kg Washing Machine, because the others wash for longer hours, which usually damages some fabrics.
The beauty of the LG 5kg Inverter Direct Drive Washing Machine is that, the Cotton 30 and the Quick 30 washes perfectly fine especially if you use the right Washing Machine detergent, The Rinse + Spin does a good job of rinsing off soap completely from your garment and it spins so well, your clothes comes out almost dry and not looking rumpled, all you need is a little air outside for your clothes to be absolutely dry, Infact you don't need an additional dryer to compliment this washing machine because within an hour of complete sunlight on your clothes spread outside, your clothes will be dry in no time.
Another positive thing about this washing machine is that you can actually pause it for atleast 5-10 mins, if there is no water in it yet, you can add additional garment or remove excess garments from the loader.
This washing machine also has 10 years warranty, tell me who doesn't love a good warranty, atleast you are sure that before the expiration of that 10 years, if anything happens, you are covered, and also you get value for your money.
Cons:
You don't want to put your baby's clothing in the loader using the Baby Care Control, trust me, you will not recognize some of the clothes by the time they are out, It washes for almost 1hr30mins or longer depending on Nepa, which I think is too much for little piece of clothing, also the Hand Wash/Wool is another control you shouldn't try, It will first soak your garment for a couple of minutes , before washing for another 1- 2hrs, I mean in my opinion, it isn't ideal for any fabric to wash for that long, imagine washing them with your bare hands, after soaking for 30mins , will you wash one garment for 1 hour? Just Imagine using the Cotton / Hand Wash/ or Baby Care and Nepa decides to take the light for 4 hrs or more. This experience applies to other controls such as the Blanket, Delicate and Synthetic Controls respectively.
Advice:
Compared to other washing machines, that I have seen in other people's home, the LG 5kg Inverter Direct Drive Washing Machine, makes less noise and less vibration. But if you are a first time user, please read the manual correctly on assembling this product, because if you don't, then get ready for the noise and the vibration, It will vibrate so much that it will vibrate out of where you placed it. So be sure to place the rubber cups that comes with it at the edges provided under the washing machine to avoid motion vibration.(You do not want to imagine my experience with this motion vibration, it will make a good you-tube comic video)
This product is only good for home use, if you run a laundry business then you may want to consider buying one with bigger capacity.
