10 life Saving Baby Products Mums can find on Jumia.

Every mum want what's best for their babies. In recent times, online shopping from the U.S and the U.K have become a norm, not because we want to compete with one another or because there are no other countries manufacturing baby products, simply put it that we all want quality products for our little ones and we as individuals know the standard we are looking for, hence the search for the best quality when it comes to our newborn.

In light of the present economic situation, its becoming increasingly difficult for mums to keep up with online purchase from overseas, considering the cost of shipping, foreign exchange rate and other factors. As a matter of fact, very few online stores in the U.S allow Nigerian IP address,so shopping online from overseas is proving more difficult especially for those who are used to this life style.

The good news is, you can get these quality brands here in Nigeria, without thinking of exchange rate, shipping hassle, or waiting too long for the delivery. Online stores in Nigeria such as JUMIA and KONGA carry all the great brands you need for your baby at affordable prices too.

From my research, there are a thousand and one baby brands you can shop online here in Nigeria. But I have put together 10 of the things I know every new mum should buy for their baby.

We all know that not every mum will eventually use a breast pad, but for those mums who produce excessive milk, and wouldn't want any stain on their cloth due to a full breast, the Avent Breast Pad is a great nursing pad, It is tested, trusted and also affordable. You can find it in baby stores, and for convenience, you can always buy it online.

The Avent Manual Breast Pump is one thing you should consider even before you have your baby , because most mums do not get their milk in immediately the baby is born, also some babies do not latch on the nipples properly and no mum wants to keep her baby hungry. So I strongly recommend this breast pump for all new mums. You can use it to pump milk for later use, maybe while you are out with baby and you don't want everyone looking at your mammary gland.

Another mummy's best product is the Tomee Tipee Electric Sterilizer, this is  a life saver. Easy to use, and you can trust that your baby's bottles are well sterilized especially the tits. You no longer have to go to Alade Market or Dosunmu Market to get this, its sold online, and you can shop for the best prices at your convenience.

If you plan on using the Tommee Tipee  Sterilizer, then its only logical to buy the Tommee Tippee Bottles for your little one. Because other brand do not fit into the Tommee Tippee sterilizer. This is a great product, very affordable, and pretty too. It comes in blue, pink and clear coloured bottles.
I know alot of people will either use Huggies or Pampers Diapers only, but trust me there are so many other diaper brands out there, that do just as fine if not better than these two popular brands. As a mum, I have used the Asda Little Angels Diaper for both of my children, and its wonderful. Like so many of you, I usually stock up on this when I travel on holiday to the UK, and once I run out of my stock pile, I retreat back to Huggies. Back then, no one was selling the Asda Little Angels Diaper in Nigeria. But fortunately for mums with babies still in diaper, you can shop this diaper on Jumia, and its quiet pocket friendly.

For babies 7 months and above, the Tommee Tipee Explora Training Cup is a great choice for starters. There so many brand of training cups out there, but this is tested and trusted. Some mums love to start with the sippy cups first, but no matter what you want to try, this is a great way to get your little one started with drinking from a cup, and you know what, you don't have to worry about how to get it in Nigeria, it can be shipped to your location and you can pay on delivery.

So this is a big mummy secret I'm about to let out, once your baby starts eating all those creamy porridge and cereal or blended home cooked meals, the cotton bibs will no longer be enough to hold the spill from their mouth, you need the Philip Bib  or the Tommee Tippee bib. These are plastic bibs and can hold any texture of food, without you worrying about it being soiled. Once you are done feeding your little one dip the bib into soapy water, and  its clean again.

For mums who love organic food, this is for you. This is a really cool food processor. Just get the food you want in it , and follow the instructions in the manual. Avent Food Steamer

When babies are about 3 weeks old, you need to keep them entertained. Start with a  Fisher Price Baby Rocker There are so many rockers you can choose from , but make sure you get one with sound and mirrors because babies love to see themselves in a mirror. Check Jumia or Konga for your preferred baby rocker. They sell for as low as N15,000 depending on the brand you are buying.

Have you ever heard of tummy time? That is when babies learn to lift up their head from the floor. The Mother Care Play Mat is great for tummy time, because its got a lot of fibre to cushion your baby. Babies can learn to grab using the play mat, and also progress into rolling to their side on the play mat. The mother care play mat is a great way for mummy-baby-bonding/play time, and this can also help mummy to keep the baby busy, while mummy is doing some other stuff with baby within reach.

Here you have it mummys, you dont always have to worry about the exchange rate when it comes to getting quality affordable baby products. Just as we know that there are so many fake out there, most online stores sell original branded products with an option to return it  before you pay for them.
