Goodnews if you live in America or United Kingdom, as Amazon, the most popular online retailer, is working closely with two firms on a project for "Home Access".
What this means is that, if the project is successful, delivery drivers would be able to use a one-time access code to people's homes, that is the codes would open smart locks to gain access to hallways or garages.
This access code will involve the use of smart locks- which can be connected to the internet, enabling users to control access via a device such as a smartphone.
Amaon is exploring a number of ways to improve and automate deliveries, including trailing drones to deliver parcels by air.
Ehnmmm Jumia and konga, please dont try this for now, apart from it being capital intensive, we dont have enough database in Nigeria with details of each citizen, so delivery drivers may elope with people's properties without leaving a trace.
