The Linda Ikeji Empire

Linda Ikeji and her fleet of cars
I hope I'm not the last blogger to send in my congratulatory message to our darling number one blogger in Nigeria, the head of gbogbo big girls association, Lagos chapter. Girl! so many people are proud of what you have become today. Through blogging, you saw the future right from a sitting position and you have made a name for not just yourself but your entire family, nice one!

Its no longer news that after several years of investing in properties from the proceeds of blogging(which I admire by the way), Linda took the bull by the horn in August 2016 with the launch of her Linda Ikeji Media Brand, which consist of the Linda Ikeji TV, Linda Ikeji Radio and Linda Ikeji Music, which has since kicked off with auditions and interviews in search of the best presenters,VJs and  other available positions to be  filled by qualified Nigerian youths.

For some months now, there has been teasers from Linda Ikeji and others on social media on what LIS stands for, up until the official launch of LIS on the 1st of November 2016, I doubt if anyone guessed correctly. The great thing is, we now know that LIS stands for Linda Ikeji Social, which I heard  is going to be next big social media platform in Nigeria. So move over Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, a new sheriff is in town!

LIS is a combination of different existing platforms in one place, that is; Facebook,Linda Ikeji Blog, Ebay and the likes of Jiji or Olx for better understanding. The combination of all these is definitely not new per se, if you will agree with me alot of people already buy and sell on Facebook/Instagram, make friends on Facebook/Instagram, even post links of different blogs and news agencies on Facebook/Instagram all for free. But the only icing that Linda has put on her social media platform is the eyewitness report, which gives people the opportunity to earn N1000 cash for their video reporting. In this hard times, I know how much N1000 can go in solving peoples problems. Atleast when you do a mental calculation of the amount that goes into making an eyewitness report,I'm talking about data, memory card and mental/physical  effort put into making a video, then the reward in profit shoud be about N500 out of that N1000 the LIS platform is offering.

We know google also tried the social media space simply because google became a big deal and a great percentage of the world population was using google for one search or the other, but that didnt make their social media platform a success. Every one on gmail sees the google+ once they sign into their mail, but how many percent of the registered gmail users are on google+?

One thing is certain,as an entrepreneur you just have to keep bursting with ideas whether favourable or not, only time tells. As I said in one of my post, "creativity is the mother of innovation", and as the "Moments" team always say, "if you can think it, you can do it".

So congrats to Linda once again..Praying for the success of LIS with an eagle eye!
