Guinness Nigeria and Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has kicked off the Responsible Drinking campaign, tagged "Crash the Crash; Speed Kills" to counsel consumers about drink driving.
The annual campaign which usually takes place in the ember months,kicked off at the Ketu motor park in lagos. Speaking at this year's campaign, the Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria, Mr Peter Ndegwa, commented that " motorist should drink responsibly and act as ambassadors of responsible drinking during the festive period and beyond"
Mr Ndegwa, commended the FRSC for their critical role in reducing accidents and keeping the motorways safe for all road users.
The Corp Commander, Lagos Command (FRSC),Mr Hyginius Omeje thanked Guinness Nigeria for sustaining their partnership for the past nine years, while acknowledging the road safety is a shared responsibility.
At this year's campaign, The FRSC thanked Guinness Nigeria for the donation of Breathalyzers given to the Corps last year, according to Mr Omeje, the Breathalyzers has been used extensively to carry out sobriety test on motorist in various motor parks and motorways around the state.
