TIME Magazine announced on NBC's "Today Show", TIME's 2016 Person of the Year in person of the U.S President -elect, Donald Trump.
Trump had this to say in a phone interview after he was named "its a great honor,it means a lot ,especially me growing up,reading Time Magazine,its a very important magazine. I've been lucky enough to be on the cover many times this year and last year".
On the magazine cover,Trump is dubbed the "President of the divided states of America".
Asked if TIME's announcement was a compliment, Trump had this to say "when you say divided States of America, I didnt divide 'em,they've divided now.We are going to put it back together".
