Brand News: Michael Kors to buy Jimmy CHoo for $1.2Billion?

According to Business Insiders,  the US retailer Michael Kors has  agreed to buy the luxury shoemaker  Jimmy Choo for $1.2 billion, snapping up a British brand launched in the east end of London and made famous by celebrity fans including Princess Diana.

Founded in the 1990s by the bespoke shoemaker Jimmy Choo, the brand  known for its stiletto heals and accessories and sells in cities including London, Paris, New York, and Tokyo.

Ubi Franklin launches online Laundry Business -Instant Pick Up

Ubi Fraklin , the celebrity artist manger of the popular label Triple MG has unveiled his new online laundry business called Instant Pick Up.

The company launched officially on the 20th of July, with the release of an App, which is available for download on Apple App and Google Play Store. Instant Pick Up also unveiled  a line of celebrity ambassadors at the event.

Etisalat Re-brands to 9Mobile

It is no longer news that one of Nigerian's telecoms company Etisalat has rebranded to 9Mobile as a result of  the mother company Etisalat Abu-Dhabi pulling out their shares completely from the Nigerian telecoms company.

Nigerian Uber drivers can be hell!

I know I wrote a review last year about my first Uber experience in Lagos and it was all so beautiful, You can find it Here if you missed that post. At that time, I thought Uber was the most ingenious thing to have been exported to Nigeria, I mean who wouldn't love to be driven for less on Naija bad roads in a comfortable air-conditioned car.Fast forward to eight solid months later, my story has completely changed.
I know Instagram has gone agog with different tales of Uber drivers lately, but trust me, we all move on after reading those post without considering the dangers and messages those post are passing across to us . I know I have read about an Uber driver running away with the owner's car, I have read about Uber driver been killed only for the passengers to sell the car to someone out of town. But nope my story is not that horrifying but it is equally pathetic.

How hectic can commuting to work get? Over time, I have heard varying degrees of complaints from people I know and some that I don't even know about their job. The most I have heard is people complaining about how they are paid less than they should earn, for all the hard work they put into their job and the time dedicated to doing their jobs. For others, its the work environment, and for some its the lack of sleep and having to work  round the clock. People complain about different things that make them sick about their jobs.

In the advertising world, it is illegal to use people's works without their consent.thus making it important that all I's are dotted and all T's are properly crossed. Featuring a model or any person(s)   in an advert or a promotion of any kind,it is required for both parties to sign a consent/agreement form  in order to avoid law suits of this nature.

According to Premium Times, 22 year old, US based model, Nneoma Anosike  has filed a case
against Wema Bank for allegedly using her picture for advertisement purpose without her authorization.
Her father Frank Anosike who doubles as her Lawyer has sued the bank and is claiming N97 Million as damages.
