According to the Nationonlineng, Dangote has commenced the construction of concrete roads in various states in Nigeria. Internal sources within the company revealed that, construction of roads have commenced in Lagos, Bauchi,Kaduna, Kogi, Ogun among many others.
An internal source was quoted to have said "we are happy at the moment. I can categorically state that we are in more than five states across the country already constructing roads. The reception has been wonderful, State Governments are beginning to see the need to embrace concrete roads and we are happy to see the way things are currently going".
The Chairman of Dangote Cement, Alhaji Aliko Dangote recently reiterated his plea to the federal government to consider the use of concrete roads in Nigeria, as they are a sustainable alternative to bituminous roads which will save the nation huge economic loss.
