Febreeze, Glade or Other Airfreshners. What does your home smell like?

Hi Everyone,

Its been a very busy couple of days for me, from the Copa Lagos beach soccer in Lagos on Sunday, which was fun by the way, to the Public hearing on the repeal of the Consumer Protection Council Bill at the National Assembly in Abuja yesterday, which hearing will continue today, I've been on a rollercoaster of activities.

Having been to quite a number of places recently with a huge gathering, you mingle with all kinds of people, some people have no control over their personal hygiene, and you can't really help their situation because you dont know them personally, all you can do is move away from some random person with body odour or mouth odour, besides personal hygiene there is also pollution in the air and we choose to eliminate these air pollution/atmosphere pollution in ways that we think is the best for our homes, offices, gatherings and our environment in general.

I will be talking about Air freshners today. As you know, Air Freshners are consumer products used in homes, restrooms, offices and generally in confined spaces, which emits fragrance. There are different brands of Air Freshners and different packaging as well. Some people preffer diffusers, plug-ins, scented candles, scented oils, incense (Turari uta)for my Northern friends, while people like me still prefer the old fashion spray Air Freshners. What ever your choice is, we all have one goal in mind, to live in a cool environment that smells and feels fresh.

For my old fashion spray Air Freshner, I will go for only two brands which I have tested and trusted over the years, If its not Febreeze which is a product of Procter and Gamble, then it has to be Glade a product of Johnson and Johnson or nothing else. But Air Freshners comes in different alluring and pleasant fragrances, although some fragrance might be a little bit harsh but this actually depends on what kind of smell you like, maybe subtle flowery mild scents or the in- your- nostril kind of smell for lack of a better adjective, if you know what I mean.

If these products are not you and you just want to try them, I will suggest you start with both products in Vanilla/Powdery fragrances, atleast this will give you the confidence to try out other fragrance in these two brands. Febreeze Air Freshners  comes in Cotton Fresh, Spring,Mist & refresh, Linen & Sky,First blossom and others too numerous to mention, although in Nigeria we are limited to what the stores stock, but my ultimate favorite is Lavender, Vanilla & Comfort or the Cranberry Cheer. These two Frangrances can last a whole day, and even if you go without them for a couple of days, your home still retains that  fresh smell.

For my Glade, It has to be the Clean Linen or Lavender, sometimes the Powder Fresh.. I'm a very soft person so I like cool and appealing but very soft smell, something that wont nauseate a pregnant woman, or wont evoke an asthmatic attack for someone with Asthma, just something really welcoming that's all.

You can find Airfreshners in many stores in what ever country you live in, but if you are an online shopper like most of us, you can get them easily from these stores if you live in Nigeria Air Freshners
or Air Freshners, if you live in Europe or America , then you all know where to get it from or if you dont, then you can get loads of Airfreshners from Amazon.

Now tell me, what does your space smell like?
